Can anyone recommend a good tutorial for camera matching/tracking? a video? I would like to place a 3d object in some video footage.
I googled and only found examples, not any good explanations on how to do it.

stay away from max's tracking. Try using Syntheyes, Boujou Bullet, Pixelfarm or Voodoo.
