Can it be done

Hello... I have a u question. I work in 3ds max 12 in 2 viewports, usually work in left and look whats going on in right viewport, and the transform gizmo sometimes gets in the way. In settings, you can remove it for all viewports, but i would like the gizmo to be visible on the left and invisible on the right viewport (like there is nothing selected, but moving when i move object on the left), is that possible with scripts or some other way? Thank you

press D to disable the viewport so while ur in the other it does not update.

press x (i think, they changed it to shift x now), this will disable the gizmo in that viewport

I already tried with disable and hiding the gizmo, but then if i move object on the left i don't see a live update on the right, i know it sounds like a silly request but i really get annoyed sometimes... i'm not sure if the scripts can help with this one

well another option is to make the gizmo really small, you can use the axis constraints to lock it while moving it or use the transform gizmo x,y,z itself

Resize gizmo using - + button near backspace

FYI regarding your first comment is it possible without scripts - get used to scripts to do 90% of what you need, the vanilla max is quite basic these days, and regarding specific workflows most of the time you are going to need a workaround as things dont always perform the way you expect them to
