MAX and (2) video cards

What do two video cards such 1080TI accomplish as far as MAX render performance? Is it effective? Practical?

You shoud read the documentation for your newly aaquired Vray 3.6 licence. It supports hybrid rendering which will defnitely take advantage of your GPU(s). Appart from that Max's viewport takes advantage of your GPU aswell.

Other renderers fully take advantage of GPU (I know redshift does).
