Mechanism and rigging
show user profile  sheheryar_noor
I have been asked if i can model and rig this table.

Top will be detached, and legs will be bend/fold. How it will work i haven't been told. What i have guessed is if we remove the top, to fold the legs, crossed legs will go(fold)upward while straight legs will move in arrow directions. Is that how it will work?

I don't know rigging but what i have figured out about the mechanism is" Each joint will have pivot point (crossed legs having pivot point at most back), and they are linked to straight legs. Have a helper in the middle and linked all the legs with it. When we pull up the middle helper upward, crossed legs will bend and straight legs will move inward.

If someone can toss me a link of rigging tutorial which can help me

Arrogant. So you get a basic rigging job a junior rigger could breeze through... but is somehow beyond your skills, and demand a tutorial. Fuck man, no one taught you how to use the internet to search for yourself? A 2 second youtube search would have sorted you out. Oh well.

I don't rig. :) I did it but without constrains. Rigging just goes above my head:D Neway thanks for answering. Very quick animation

All done manually by key frames. NO IK HK solvers and constrains. What i meant what should i use HK IK ?
