Mental Ray and tangent normal maps...
Just finished googling about 3 different phrases on this, and found exactly zero resolutions to the problem. I DO know that flipping green does nothing, flipping X/Y does nothing, that using arch/design MIGHT be useful, and that a link to nVidia's page on the problem cannot be reached. So......
Anyone know DEFINITIVELY what the cure would be for getting normal maps to work in MR 2013?

Try with scanline render. I had the same problems with this back then. It is a bug. Not sure if it is fixed in later versions. it is bit of a work arround.

Yep, but I want the bounce light effect found in either MR or Quicksilver.
I'll keep looking and report what I find. Thanks!
