hi guys. blink and you miss it :P

(finger flick for tablet page turns)

My client has just published their new on-line/printed brochure. Other than a few of the public's photographs all imagery in here is purely CGI by myself any my team of 3 chaps.

On with the next brochure now........

Looks great Strat! Consistently good work.

So do you work for this company or does this company contract your group to work for them? Cool stuff!

Thanks mate.

I work (from home) full time for an advertising and branding company called CIC Photographic Ltd -
are the UK's leading bathroom retailers. We've held their marketing contract for the last few years and i've been heading up the team and running the account for the last few years too.

Dammit. I was hoping you'd say there was no middle man and a company was relying on a rag-tag band of scoundrels to produce their entire catalog while paying around more than 200k per catalog.

Really cool though regardless man! Your work is consistently awesome.

Awesome work Strat!

Reminds me how the Ikea catalog is now mostly CGI (maybe all of it by now).

Must have taken a lot of time just to get the scenes organized, would you mind to elaborate on how the workflow was achieved?

cheers guys.

kiko - the impact of the imagery is more down to interior design and product/prop placement rather than lighting and modeling. Luckily myself and my guys are all formally architecturally trained.

the workflow is pretty fluid these days - the client's manufacturers, based in China, send the actual product to our Chinese studios. Here we accurately model everything up. These models are then sent over to us (via skype usually) when the client will give us a brief impression of the roomset he's after achieving via small mood-boards or inspirational internet pictures he likes.

We then quickly knock up a roomset we think will please the client and get to initial wip stage usually by end of day 1. By end of day 2 (or 3, depending on room complexity) the final 5000 pixel render is delivered.
Then, a further day is spent creating the smaller close-in cameos and white studio cutout renders.
Online most of the products will also have cameo and 360 VR animations too.
We have an official client area and proofing process to adhere to all along the development of the images.

All done in Cinema4D and Vray.

Then, onto the next. as you can see there's several topic headings to constantly work on, so co-ordination and keeping the work flowing is a never ending job.

Nice work, the black and white product photos accented with the strong red graphics proves to be very powerful. Overall, a great design that is aesthetically delightful.

A brochure is an educational paper document (often also used for advertising), that can be collapsed into a template, pamphlet or leaflet. Brochures are advertising pieces largely used to introduce a corporation or organization and inform about products and/or services to a target audience.

I'm late to the party on this one, but your work is always awesome Strat. Thanks for sharing an insight into the workflow.
