Rigging a cylinder door lift
show user profile  Speedy
I have been struggling on rigging cylinder door lift like the image below....

I am not sure how I could link the cylinder that attach to door and to other part. As if when the door open, it will extract the thin cylinder, and retract when it closes with both end pivot locked. I don't know if I can explain this well but hoping you understand..

Does/can anyone suggest tips or known good tuts ??

I would make you a jing video but I formatted not long ago xP

k link that thick cylinder to the door and use a look at constraint from the big cylinder to the thin one, and do the same from the thing cylinder to the thick on, before that make sure you pivots are placed correctly where they should be.

This is a littel more complex than your door but contains the same piston so hopefully you can extract the right parts

Sorry if I couldn't post screen grabber or quick video... I am out of town as of now carrying laptop w/o max installed. At least Hope this image helps.
